Claire Elise Boucher (/bu:'SeI/ boo-SHAY; born 17 March, 1988) also known as Grimes she is a Canadian musician who sings, writes songs, and record producer. [2][3] Her early work has been described as extending into "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop,[4] and has incorporated influence from electronic music, hip hop, and rock. Her lyrics often touch upon science fiction themes and feminist themes. Five studio albums have been issued by her. Grimes was raised in Vancouver but moved to Montreal at the age of 2000. Grimes started releasing her singles at the beginning of 2000. The albums released were by Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa in 2010. Following her joining 4AD and gaining the charts with Visions the third studio album. Visions has two singles "Genesis" as well as "Oblivion" in addition to being recognized with by the Juno Award in Canada for Electronic Album of the year. [5] Following this, her album with her band, Art Angels, was released in 2015 , and was met with high praise from critics as several publications have rated it as the top album of 2015. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth album of studio work. Aside from music, Grimes had a voice part in the gaming action Cyberpunk 2077 and is a judge on the popular music competition game program Alter Ego. Georges Georges Grimes
