Ashley Graham was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. Two of her sisters were raised together, and she often faced bullying in school because of the dimensions of her legs. Graham was initially diagnosed as having A.D.H.D. shortly after her elementary education. Graham was diagnosed as having attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (A.D.H.D.) soon after completing elementary school. Graham's talents were discovered at the age of 12 by an agent as she was looking for a job in Nebraska. Prior to her graduation in 2005 at Lincoln Southwest High School (now Lincoln Southwest High School), she had appeared on billboards, magazines and other advertisements. She had a unique physical form that made obtaining jobs difficult in the beginning. Graham was offered to appear in catalogs for many years however she wasn't informed that her career was going to go further than those simple tasks. The career of Graham grew rapidly after she proved the doubters to be wrong. Sally Singer from "Vogue" interviewed her, which was one of her most significant successes. In 2009, she was featured as a model in "Glamour magazine"'s "These Bodies Can be Beautiful at Any Size" alongside Sally Singer. In 2009, she was back in the news, Graham starred in a controversial Lane Bryant ad that was eventually banned across a variety of countries; the commercial had garnered over 800,000 views by the time it was removed from YouTube. The situation grew out of control and Graham addressed the issue in the "Tonight Tonight Show" which was hosted by Jay Leno. Graham soon became famous and is now considered to be one of the top American plus-size models. Grande started singing and acting at a young age. She was given a small role on Broadway's play 13 in 2008. Then she was acting in numerous television shows. She got her first big break in 2010 by appearing on Nickelodeon's TV show Victorious. She played Cat Valentine, a teenager who attends a performing arts college. The sitcom ended in 2013 and she appeared on the spinoff, Sam & Cat.
