Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who has achieved great success with the tales she recounts about her early heartbreak. Swift started to exhibit an interest in the music industry at a young age. Her career progressed rapidly through the play of kids and her first public appearance in front of thousands. Swift started writing songs at the age of 11. Swift sang The Star-Spangled Banner for a Philadelphia 76ers game. Drawing inspiration from musicians from the country genre like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original songs that were a reflection of her own experiences of being a tween and feeling alienated. Swift's family moved in Tennessee Pennsylvania when she was 13, so that she would have more time pursuing popular country music labels in Nashville.
