Taylor Swift became famous as a performer and song writer in the early part of 2001 with her tales of love and loss. Swift's passion for music was evident in the early years of her life. From musicals for kids to singing in front of thousands of people, Swift made rapid progress. At the age of 11, she performed The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game and the following year she began playing guitar and began to write songs. Swift, who took her ideas from Shania's music and The Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks in the world in country music created the songs of her own to convey her experience with alienation. Swift was 13 when her parents decided to sell their Pennsylvania farm and move to Hendersonville Tennessee. She could dedicate all her efforts to contacting country labels located in Nashville.
